Every successful renovation begins with a clear vision and a thoughtful plan. Driftwood House offers a flexible design experience tailored to the unique needs of your project.

Begin with a Vision Session to explore the possibilities, continue with a Design Intent Package to transform your ideas into a thoughtfully developed renovation plan, and personalize your experience with optional services that provide additional support throughout construction.

  • Investment: $395

    A personalized, 90-minute design consultation designed to help you explore the potential of your renovation before committing to a complete design.

    Whether you're renovating a kitchen, bathroom, pantry, laundry room, mudroom, or another space, this session provides professional design guidance to help you move forward with confidence.

    Includes

    • 90-minute consultation — in-home within the standard or extended service area, or via video call for remote projects (see Service Area & Travel)

    • Review of the existing space

    • Discussion of your goals, lifestyle, budget, and priorities

    • Discussion of desired renovation timeline to help guide design recommendations, material selections, and project priorities

    • Design recommendations to improve layout, flow, storage, and functionality

    • Guidance on materials, fixtures, finishes, and overall design direction

    • Conceptual sketch or curated inspiration board, as appropriate for your project

    • Written summary of design recommendations and suggested next steps

  • Investment: Every renovation is unique. Design fees are tailored to the size, scope, and complexity of your project.

    Your complete Design Intent Package communicates the proposed layout, materials, cabinetry, fixtures, and overall design direction of your renovation. It is a design-communication tool intended to assist your contractor and licensed professionals during estimating, planning, and construction.

    Includes — Discovery & Planning

    • Field measurements of existing conditions — collected in person within the standard or extended service area, or provided by the client and/or contractor for remote projects — taken for design purposes only and not warranted for construction accuracy

    • One mid-project site visit (or virtual review for remote projects) to confirm field conditions before finalizing drawings

    • Space planning and layout optimization

    • Functional design solutions tailored to your lifestyle

    • Design concept development, including one initial concept and two rounds of revisions

    • Additional revisions beyond the included rounds are billed at $185/hour

    • Preliminary budget allowance worksheet by category (cabinetry, tile, fixtures, etc.) to help guide your budgeting — informational only, not a contractor bid or a guarantee of final project cost

    Includes — Design Development

    • Cabinet layout and design intent

    • Millwork concepts, where applicable

    • Fixture, material, and finish selections

    • Lighting and hardware recommendations

    • Color palette development and finish/material presentation board

    • Design renderings, where applicable

    Includes — Design Intent Package Deliverables

    • Existing condition floor plan (for design reference only)

    • Proposed floor plan

    • Interior elevations

    • Cabinet layouts

    • Lighting/electrical layout indicating fixture, switch, and outlet placement for contractor and electrician coordination

    • Finish schedule

    • Fixture schedule

    • Material selections and product recommendations

    • Preliminary budget allowance worksheet

Optional Services

Once your design is complete, Driftwood House offers additional services to simplify your renovation and provide ongoing support throughout construction. These services may be selected individually or combined to create the level of involvement that's right for your project.

  • Investment: Starting at $1,850

    Design Support During Construction provides continued design guidance during key phases of your renovation to help maintain the original design intent.

    Includes

    • Up to 10 hours of design consultation

    • Contractor design coordination

    • Shop drawing review for design-intent alignment

    • Scheduled site visits (or virtual reviews for remote projects)

    • Design clarification throughout key phases

    • Final walkthrough at project completion to confirm the finished space aligns with the approved Design Intent Package

    Additional support is billed at $185/hour.

  • Once your design is complete, Driftwood House can manage the purchasing and coordination of the products specified in your design package, creating a more streamlined and organized renovation experience. Rather than coordinating multiple vendors yourself, you'll have a single point of contact to help ensure your selections are ordered accurately and delivered when needed.

    Materials May Include

    • Cabinetry, decorative hardware, plumbing fixtures, countertops, tile, flooring, lighting, appliances, interior cabinet accessories, and additional design selections specified within your project

    Includes

    • Purchasing and ordering of approved selections

    • Coordination with vendors and suppliers

    • Delivery scheduling and coordination

    • Communication regarding damaged, delayed, or incorrect materials

    • Coordination with your contractor to help ensure materials arrive when needed
